Sound familiar?

If nothing changes, next year looks exactly like this one

You do not need a miracle. You need something you can start tonight, that fits around the life you already have, and that lets you test the idea before you risk money.

“Alarm. Commute. Desk. Repeat.”

If you work a 9 to 5

What is wearing you down

  • You are paid for your hours, and a raise is a few percent a year.
  • You get home empty, promise yourself you will start something this weekend, and the weekend is gone.
  • You have watched months of “side income” videos, still cannot tell what is real, and so you have done nothing.

The way out

  • Read lesson 1 tonight, no card, and know within an hour whether this job fits you.
  • Then one lesson at a time, 30 to 60 minutes, while you keep your salary.
  • Every lesson ends with exercises and an answer key, so you know it stuck.

“Every hour of my day is already spoken for.”

If you are raising kids on your own

What is wearing you down

  • School runs, sick days and a childcare bill decide which jobs you can even apply for.
  • A fixed shift or a long commute means you are never home when it matters, or never earning enough when you are.
  • There is no spare money for an expensive course and no spare time for a long one.

The way out

  • No live classes. Study at the kitchen table in short gaps and pick up where you stopped, on any device.
  • One payment, no subscription, no upsell ladder before you reach the real lessons.
  • Honest about the job: dispatching is phone-and-computer work, but it can mean calls at awkward hours. Know that before you commit.

“The loan statement arrives whether or not the job market is kind.”

If you are a student or graduate with loans

What is wearing you down

  • Repayments start while entry-level pay is still low.
  • Another degree or bootcamp adds to the debt you already carry.
  • You want a skill that works outside your degree, but you cannot afford to guess wrong.

The way out

  • A small one-time payment, not another loan, and the first lesson costs nothing.
  • A practical skill you can learn between classes or shifts.
  • A certificate anyone can verify online, and worked examples that show what you studied.

The cost of waiting: a year from now you will have the same job, the same stress and the same “someday”, unless you start something. The first step costs one evening and no money.

Straight talk

Other courses promise $10,000 a month. We promise you will know the job before you bet on it.

What we will never say

  • “You will make six figures.”
  • “Quit your job in 30 days.”
  • “Guaranteed clients, no experience needed.”
  • Anything we cannot prove.

What you can count on

  • The first lesson free, with no sign-up.
  • Real numbers and worked examples, not hype.
  • A lesson on broker fraud and non-payment, because one unpaid load can be worth more than this whole course.
  • One price, a final exam and a certificate anyone can verify.
  • A registered US company with a real address and phone number.

What dispatchers are paid

About $50,340 a year

Median pay for US dispatchers (except police, fire and ambulance), May 2025. Source: US Bureau of Labor Statistics, via O*NET OnLine.

This is a pay figure for a broad occupation that includes truck dispatchers, taxi and courier dispatchers and others. It is not what you will earn. Independent freight dispatchers are usually paid a percentage or a weekly fee per truck, and results vary widely. This course does not promise a job, clients or any income.

Who this is for

  • People who want to become dispatchers and want to understand the job before they take a truck.
  • Owner-operators who want to dispatch for themselves, or judge a dispatcher properly.
  • New carriers who need to understand brokers, rates and paperwork.

What you will be able to do

  • Read a load posting and know in ten seconds whether it is worth a call.
  • Work out the true rate per mile, after empty miles and costs.
  • Negotiate, book and read a rate confirmation with confidence.
  • Verify brokers and spot the common freight scams.
  • Stay on the right side of the dispatcher and broker line.

Module 1

Foundations

What the job is, how freight moves and what equipment hauls it.

Module 2

Rules of the road

Authority, insurance, the legal line between dispatcher and broker, and hours of service.

Module 3

Finding and pricing loads

Load boards, rate maths, negotiation, weekly planning and specialized freight.

Lesson 7 · 95 min

Load boards and finding loads

Finding freight is half the job. This lesson takes you inside the load boards, filter by filter and line by line, then shows you how to find freight the boards never show, and how to run a search routine that books the truck before lunch.

Start lesson →
Lesson 8 · 110 min

Rates and profit math

A high rate per mile can still lose money. This lesson gives you every cost line of a truck, a repeatable profit formula, a full weekly P&L and a spreadsheet you can build yourself, so you can tell a good load from a bad one in under a minute and defend your number on the phone.

Start lesson →
Lesson 9 · 120 min

Negotiating and booking loads

The posted rate is an opening bid, and the broker who posted it expects you to argue. This lesson gives you the psychology, the structure, the numbers and the exact words: how to set a walk-away figure from cost per mile, how brokers price a load, how to anchor and counter, what to trade when the rate will not move, and the full booking sequence from the first call to the dispatch sheet, with twelve real conversations analyzed line by line.

Start lesson →
Lesson 10 · 110 min

Planning the week: routes, reloads and a revenue target you can hit

Good dispatchers do not book one load at a time. They build a 5 to 7 day chain where every delivery already has a reload behind it, the driver's hours fit, the truck ends the week where the driver wants to be, and the numbers add up to a target set from cost per mile. This lesson teaches that method for one truck and for a book of several.

Start lesson →
Lesson 11 · 110 min

Specialized freight: dispatching reefer, flatbed, oversize, hazmat, drayage and the other niches safely and profitably

Dry van is where most dispatchers start and where the margins are thinnest. This lesson takes you through every other kind of freight a carrier can haul: what the load needs, what the driver and the insurance must have, where the extra money comes from, what can go wrong, and the exact questions to ask before you say yes.

Start lesson →

Module 4

Running the freight

Rate confirmations, paperwork, trips, fraud and cash flow.

Lesson 12 · 115 min

Rate confirmations and accessorials

The rate confirmation is the contract for every load, and accessorials are the extra charges most carriers never collect. This lesson takes a full sample rate con apart line by line, shows which clauses to negotiate or refuse, then teaches every accessorial from detention to border fees: how to ask, how to prove it, how to invoice it and how to win when the broker pushes back.

Start lesson →
Lesson 13 · 95 min

Paperwork, invoicing and getting paid

A load is not finished when it delivers. It is finished when the money arrives. Most cash flow problems in trucking are paperwork problems, and this lesson shows you the whole paper trail from the carrier packet to the bank deposit, document by document, field by field.

Start lesson →
Lesson 14 · 110 min

Managing the trip: check calls, tracking and crisis response

Booking the load is the easy part. The money is protected or lost in how you handle the pickup, the check calls, and the first ten minutes of every problem. This lesson walks the whole life of a load, from the dispatcher's pre-trip checklist to the closed file, with scripts for every crisis you will meet.

Start lesson →
Lesson 15 · 95 min

Fraud and broker vetting

Freight fraud is now a professional industry of its own, and the dispatcher is the first person it reaches. This lesson teaches you to vet every broker, shipper and pickup the way a fraud investigator would, to recognize the scams running in 2026, and to build the habits that keep a carrier's truck, cargo and money safe.

Start lesson →
Lesson 16 · 115 min

Factoring and cash flow

A truck can show a profit on paper and still stop running because the bank account hit zero on a Thursday. This lesson explains why that happens, how freight factoring works from the notice of assignment to the final rebate, what every line of a factoring contract really costs, how quick pay, fuel cards and credit lines compare in real dollars, and how a dispatcher helps a one truck carrier stay funded, tax ready and in business.

Start lesson →

Module 5

Tools and communication

Dispatch software and the professional communication that keeps carriers and brokers.

Module 6

Business and career

Building a dispatch business, working as a dispatcher and a full capstone simulation.

Lesson 19 · 110 min

Building a dispatch business

Dispatching for yourself means you are running a small business, not just working loads. This lesson walks through the whole build: legal structure, licences, insurance, pricing with real margin math, finding and qualifying carriers without breaking spam and telemarketing rules, a 30-day onboarding plan, weekly reporting, firing a bad carrier, scaling with hired dispatchers, ethical marketing and a first-90-days plan with milestones.

Start lesson →
Lesson 20 · 110 min

Working as a dispatcher: getting real work ethically and safely

You can find, price, book and run freight. This lesson turns that skill into paid work without getting burned: the four employment paths and how each one hires, a resume and portfolio built with zero experience, 32 interview questions with strong answers, the technical tests employers set and how to pass them, how pay structures really work with the math shown, what to ask before you accept, the scams aimed at new dispatchers, how to protect yourself in writing, what your certificate does and does not mean, and how to use a directory listing, a discovery call and honest reviews to let carriers find you.

Start lesson →
Lesson 21 · 120 min

Capstone: run a truck for one full week

Everything in the course comes together here. You take over dispatch for one owner-operator with a 53 ft dry van on a Monday morning, screen a 14-load board full of traps, book and run three loads through a week that throws a rate con error, detention, a breakdown, a cancelled reload, a short pay, an hours-of-service conflict and a fraud email at you, and then you build the invoice packet, the profit worksheet and the weekly report a real carrier would expect. A full model answer and a 100-point rubric let you grade yourself.

Answers

Frequently asked questions

Is any of the course free?

Yes. Lesson 1 is free to read with no sign-up, so you can judge the teaching before you decide. The remaining lessons, the final exam, the certificate and the bonus templates are part of the full course.

What do I get in the full course?

All 21 lessons (about 37 hours of study), worked examples, case studies and exercises, a final exam, a certificate with a QR code that anyone can verify online, plus a profit calculator, a load and payment tracker and call and email scripts.

Will this make me a dispatcher?

It teaches you how the work is done and how to avoid expensive mistakes. Skill comes from practice, ideally with a real truck and an experienced person beside you. It is not a government licence or an FMCSA credential, and it does not guarantee a job or income.

Do I need a licence to dispatch?

Carrier dispatch and freight brokering are treated differently. Brokering needs FMCSA broker authority and a bond. A dispatcher acting as the carrier's agent works under different arrangements, and the facts matter. Lesson 5 explains the line, and you should have an attorney review your own setup.

How long does it take?

About 37 hours of study across 21 lessons. Most people take a lesson every day or two and use the calculators and templates with real numbers as they go.

How much can a dispatcher earn?

It depends on the number of trucks, how well they run, the freight market and the pay model, so we cannot promise an income. For context, the US Bureau of Labor Statistics reports a median of about $50,340 a year (May 2025) for dispatchers in general, a group that includes truck dispatchers but also taxi, courier and utility dispatchers. Independent freight dispatchers usually charge carriers a percentage or a weekly fee, and their results vary widely.

Can I use this to hire a dispatcher instead?

Yes. Carriers who read it find it easier to judge a dispatcher, because they know what good looks like.

Is this course for people who already have a job?

Yes. It is self-paced and there are no live classes, so you can study in the evening or at weekends. The lessons add up to about 37 hours, which many people spread over several weeks. Dispatching can be done outside office hours, but it often means calls at awkward times, and the course shows the realities honestly.

Do I need a truck, a CDL or any experience?

No. The course starts from zero and explains each term as it appears. You do not need a truck or a CDL to study dispatching. To work for a carrier you will need real practice, and Lesson 20 explains how to find honest work and avoid the scams aimed at new dispatchers.

How much does it cost, and what is the refund policy?

The full course is $49 until 30 November 2026 (launch price), then $99. It is one payment for one learner, with no subscription. Lesson 1 is free so you can judge the teaching first. Because the course unlocks immediately, all sales are final once it is unlocked, except for genuine mistakes on our side such as being charged twice. The full wording is in the Course Terms.

Are there any other costs?

No. The course price covers all 21 lessons, the final exam, the certificate and the templates. Our dispatch service and the paid US dispatcher directory are separate and optional, and nothing in the course requires them.

Is the certificate recognised by employers?

It shows that you completed a private online course and passed our final exam. It is not a government licence or an accredited qualification, and each employer decides for itself what it is worth. Anyone can check that a certificate is genuine on the verify page.

Can I take the course from outside the US?

You can study from anywhere. The rules, examples and fees are about US freight, so the course is most useful if you plan to work with US carriers.

How do I get help?

Email [email protected] or message us on WhatsApp at +1 (332) 251-8271. You can also ask in the USA Drivers & Dispatchers WhatsApp community.

Educational material only. It is not legal, tax or financial advice, and nothing here promises any level of income. Regulations, fees and market conditions change, so confirm current requirements with FMCSA and a qualified professional.
